The Whistler Elopement Company was born out of the growing demand for our elopement and intimate wedding services from our Sea to Sky Celebrations Company.
The ever increasing demand for our elopement weddings, specifically our all-inclusive packages, has been such that we felt a need to create the exciting new company The Whistler Elopement Company.
We’ve taken hundreds of clients’ feedback and most requested services and options and streamlined them to include the most popular and the most competitive all-inclusive pricing in Whistler & the Sea to Sky area.
Owner / Principal Planner & creator of TWEC
Rachael has been one of the top whistler wedding planners for a number of years. A Whistler local, owner & founder of the well established wedding planning company, Sea to Sky Celebrations, she is a pioneer in the Whistler wedding planning industry. She recognized elopements as an emerging trend years ago and created exclusive services for all-inclusive elopements. Due to the high demand for these services, it only made sense to start a new umbrella company specifically for her elopement and intimate wedding clients and bring all her expertise and top vendors & venues.
In Rachael’s words:
I am a mother of two awesome teenage boys, a keen skier who also volunteers as a Mountain Host for Whistler Blackcomb, crazy about CrossFit, play the piano in a local Big Band, sings with the local community choir (music is how I got into weddings!), am an elected School Trustee with the local School District, and I love coffee, wine, socializing with my friends and generally like to make the most of having fun in life outside of my love of weddings!
Pascale is the eye, the smile and the joie de vive behind the lense and as one of Whistler’s most sought after wedding photographers and owner of Gadbois Photography, she is the perfect match to work hand in hand with The Whistler Elopement Company. She is a lover of life but more importantly a lover of love. She captures every kind of love because what she knows to be true is, that LOVE is LOVE.
She believes that life flies by and that her superpower is her ability to freeze a moment in time forever.
In Pascale’s words:
I am a mother to an amazing daughter, a life partner, a daughter, a sister, a good but clumsy mountain biker, a hugger, a dog whisperer, an almond chai latte lover, a wine drinker, an ex-national team freestyle skier and an early morning riser (but only on Christmas morning and Opening Day on the mountain). I AM A STORY-TELLER.
Tracy is one of the most experienced officiants in the corridor. With well over 1000 weddings performed, she continues to devote her time and energy to each and every couple.
Her ceremonies are fun, relaxed and memorable for the couple, as well as their guests. Tracy will personalize your ceremony to make it exactly how you like, as well she has several options to choose from, religious, non-denominational, as well as interfaith.
The joy she has for her role as celebrant shows when she officiates. Her calm demeanor and warm smile will make your wedding ceremony a very non-stressful, fun experience.
We also must mention her professional appearance, and care she takes to make each ceremony the best.
In Tracy’s words:
If you are going to do something, do something you love, and do it well.
Linda has been working with and for Sea to Sky Celebrations for about (who’s counting?) ten years, as an Associate Planner.
Linda is your ultimate do-it-all gal; we rely on her to help us pour the champagne toast, pin boutonnieres onto lapels, set up décor with meticulous precision and compulsive attention to detail, be always ready to light candles or iron chair covers, and, when required, handle an entire wedding single-handed with calmness and flair. Is there anything she cannot do? Yes… never ask Linda to work an iPod… trust us on this.
We are excited that because she loves weddings so much, since April 2020, Linda is a newly accredited Lifecycle Celebrant and qualified to perform wedding ceremonies.
In her other life, Linda has lived in Whistler for an astonishing 31 years, has raised two amazing kids here, and has been happily married to her best friend Ross for an even more astonishing 46 years. She is a pro ski instructor with the Whistler Blackcomb ski school, where she is one of their most requested private lesson instructors. For her other hobbies, Linda lists cooking, posting proud-mom photos of her kids on social media, and napping.
In Val’s words
Founder of Calling Mountains Productions, main videographer and editor. Growing up in Quebec offered a wealth of inspiration but as I grew older there was always something calling me away from the city lights and when I arrived in Whistler, BC in 2013 I realized it had been the mountains all along. I’m passionate about my art form but even more about my clients.
We are storytellers honoured to capture our clients wedding day. We have witnessed how much love, hard work, respect, and family it takes to make that big day truly special and found our calling by commemorating and documenting these moments for our couples. We’re known to capture all the feels and creating a highlight video you’ll want to share with everyone. For us this is more than a job, it’s our life and we look forward to building our business and expanding our collaborations in the Sea to Sky corridor we call home.
In David’s words
Salut! I’m David Leveille, Calling Mountains Certified Advanced Drone Pilot, second shooter and Valerie’s hubby. With many years of experience using drones in my career I acquired many skills and safety standards for operating drones. Our team is friendly and love to surpass the industry standard.
You will find us capturing memories, chasing the light in and around the Sea to Sky corridor. The mountains called us here and now were returning the favour. See you in the mountains… They are calling!
Principal Hair & Makeup Stylists
Kerry has been in the beauty industry for over 12 years and her infatuation for makeup and hair keeps growing. Being able to make her bride’s feel the most beautiful they have ever felt on their wedding day is her biggest reward. Her warm and calming presence is the best way to start your wedding day. You know you are in good hands with Kerry.
In Kerry’s words:
I moved to Whistler over 7 years ago for what was supposed to be 1 winter season (a classic tale), but once I got to know and work with everyone in the Sea To Sky wedding industry, I know I would never be leaving. Work hard play hard could never be more true to a place. I love snowboarding all winter long and biking, hiking, golfing all other months. I am lucky to work in a place where my clients share the same love for the mountains as I do.
For the past 15+ years my background in hair and makeup has ranged from Editorial, TV&Film, Commercial and Retail – but Bridal has always had my heart. There is nothing I love more than to help my clients feel relaxed, comfortable, and confident in their bridal look. I believe in enhancing natural beauty and incorporating those subtle details to make a bride feel absolutely stunning while still being able to feel like herself on such a special day.
In Colleen’s Words
I feel truly lucky to be able to call the Sea-to-Sky my home since 2015, and I find so much joy being surrounded by all of the beautiful nature here. When I am not painting faces or styling hair you can find me either snowshoeing in the backcountry, going on road trips (usually to surf in Tofino), snapping photos, or testing out new recipes at home with my hunny.
